Bishops Castle Barn

A superb, detached stone cottage with a hot tub, in a rural location less than two miles from the popular market town of Bishop’s Castle in the heart of Shropshire

The Views

The views from The Barn, The Deck and the Hot Tub are quite stunning. You can see the Long Mynd in one direction and the Welsh mountains in the other.

Infinity Grass

The view from the front door is the infinity grass and beyond. You don’t even have to step outside The Barn to get the perfect picture.

Go on… You know you want to…

The Deck

Outside there is a raised decking area which is the perfect location to sit and relax in the peace and tranquillity of the countryside whilst absorbing the breathtaking views. At night, the sky comes alive with stars due to the lack of city lights and the luxury hot tub is the ideal location from which to lie back and enjoy the spectacle, perhaps with a glass of wine.

Hot Tub

The Hot tub has 2 reclined captains chairs, a very deep tub allowing over shoulder variable jets, 4 pumps and 69 chrome hydro jets for the ultimate hydrotherapy experience. It also comes with multicoloured waterline led lights.

If there’s a hot tub with better views we’d be suprised.

The upstairs lounge has stunning views of the Welsh hills in one direction and the Long Mynd in the other.

Gadgets include, TV, Freesat plus, DVD player and an iPod dock.

There are also many low tech board games, books and DVDs for staying in days.

The Kitchen

Stunning open plan kitchen with Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher

Bedroom 1

Ground floor bedroom with TV with FreeSat and DVD, king-size double (zip/link, can be 2’ 6” twin on request) with Jack-and-Jill access to bathroom.

Bedroom 2

Bedroom 2 is like a secret room. It is accessed by going down a small flight of stairs, and comes with it’s own luxury en-suite shower room
“This was our third stay in the barn and this time we found the house very tastefully decorated ready for Christmas. Everything we could imagine we might need was provided and some things we didn’t know we needed (Bluetooth speakers in the bathroom mirror!) but do now! The Barn is a great base for walking or just exploring the Shropshire Hills. The town of Bishops Castle has good pubs, including the Castle Hotel and The Three Tuns and we can recommend The Ganges Indian Restaurant (need to take your own alcoholic drinks.) Still more to explore than we had time for… We will most definitely be back!” Sandy H

“Beautiful barn with beautiful views. Loved seeing and hearing the sheep and owls.
Hot tub was amazing even though it was chilly when you got out. Lots of board games for a rainy day and a lovely welcome present of a lemon drizzle loaf and home made marmalade and jam. Also loved the shower, water got hot very quickly.
Loved how the velux windows closed when it rained too hard.” Janet Kemp
